6. NOTICE INVITING BIDS: PURCHASE OF ONE CEMENT MIXER TRUCK – F2M23-6A,\nN2M23-50\nStaff from the Public Works and Utilities Department use vehicles and equipment daily to\nconduct maintenance on the City’s infrastructure and provide critical services to the\nresidents of Alhambra. The Cement Mixer truck to be replaced has been in service for\nover 23 years. Maintenance and repairs are exceeding the value of the vehicle which has\n3\n5-8-23\nreached the end of its expected useful life. Specifications have been prepared for the\npurchase of a new truck. Staff has reviewed and approved the specifications, which are\navailable for review in addition to the bid notice and bid instructions.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the circulation of a Notice Inviting\nBids for the purchase of a Cement Mixer Truck, with bids due no later than 10:30 a.m. on\nMay 25, 2023; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s\naction.
