11. AWARD CONTRACT: INSPECTION SERVICES FOR THE FY 2021-2022 SB1 STREET\nREHABILITATION PROJECT – F2M21-37, RFP2M23-5, C2M23-31, M2M23-69\nStaff circulated a Request for Proposals (RFP) to qualified companies for Professional\nInspection Services for Construction for the project and received proposals from seven\ncompanies. A review committee comprised of Public Works staff reviewed and evaluated\nall responding proposals. Proposals were evaluated based on completeness of proposals,\nproject understanding and approach, experience of staff, experience and familiarity with\nstate and federal procedures in similar projects, effectiveness of proposed project\nschedule. The proposal submitted by Z&K Consultants Inc. received the overall highest\nrating.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Z&K Consultants Inc. for Construction\nInspection Services for FY 2021-2022 SB1 Street Rehabilitation Project in an amount not\nto exceed $78,888.00; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize\nCouncil’s action.
