Public Hearing Regarding the Adoption of a Resolution Confirming the Engineer’s\nReport and Increase in Assessments and Diagram for Fiscal Year 2023-2024 for\nOpen Space Maintenance District No. 1 (Tract No. 32841, Northwoods)\nRESOLUTION 2023-31, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF\nSAN DIMAS, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE\nENGINEER’S REPORT AND CONFIRMING THE INCREASES IN ASSESSMENTS, THE\nDIAGRAM AND ASSESSMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 FOR OPEN SPACE\nMAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 ANNEXATION NO. 3 (TRACT NO. 32841,\nNORTHWOODS) AND CPI INCREASE IN FUTURE YEARS.\nRESOLUTION 2023-32, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY\nOF SAN DIMAS, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,\nDECLARING THAT A MAJORITY PROTEST TO THE INCREASED ASSESSMENT\nEXISTS, REQUESTING REVISIONS TO THE ENGINEER’S REPORT AND\nDECLARING ITS INTENTION THAT THE ASSESSMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR\n2023-2024 SHALL BE LEVIED AT THE CURRENT RATE WITH NO INCREASE TO\nTHE ASSESSMENT, THAT THE WORK SCOPE WILL BE REDUCED FOR OPEN\nSPACE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. 1 ANNEXATION NO. 3 (TRACT NO.\n32841, NORTHWOODS) AND SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Conduct a public hearing on the proposed assessment rate increase for Open Space\nMaintenance District No. 1 (Tract No. 32841, Northwoods) . At the conclusion of the\npublic hearing, the ballots received will be tabulated and the results will be announced.\n2a. In Favor – Adopt Resolution 2023-31 if the ballot receives a 51% majority vote in favor\nor if the vote concludes in a tie to increase the assessment to $1,538.28 per parcel, add an\nannual adjustment by the Consumer Price Index; or\n\n2b. Majority Protest – Adopt Resolution 2023-32 if the ballot receives a 51% majority vote\nprotest opposed and set a Public Hearing for June 13th, 2023 to consider assessment at the\ncurrent level of $898.42 per parcel.
