C. Award Contract to Jacobsson Engineering Construction Company for\nthe Via De Anza Street Improvements Project - Phase II, CIP No. 8835\nRecommendation: To award a contract to Jacobsson Engineering Construction,\nInc. in the amount of $545,167 for constructing the CDBG\nPublic Improvements Project: Via De Anza Street\nImprovements Project - Phase II (C08835); and, approve a\nfifteen percent (15%) contingency in the amount of $81,775\nfor any unforeseeable construction costs; thereby, bringing\nthe total construction budget for this Project to $626,942;\nand, authorize the City Manager to execute the required\nCathedral City Page 2\ncontract documents; and, authorize the City Engineer to\nrequest bonds and insurance for the Project and to issue the\nNotice to Proceed.\n4.
