Appointment to the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control Board - In\nNovember of 2022, Elyse Rasmussen notified the City she will no longer be able to serve on\nthe San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control Board of Trustees, effective December\n31, 2022. Council Member Meshal “Kash” Kashifalghita stated he would like to serve on the\nBoard. In checking with the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District, most\nCities appoint a Council Member to the Board.\nStaff recommends that the City Council appoint Council Member Meshal “Kash”\nKashifalghita to the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control Board of Trustees\nfor a term of four years at the discretion of the City Council per California Health and\nSafety Code Section 2024 (a).
