6.D. CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT WITH PALP INC. DBA EXCEL\nPAVING COMPANY AND AMENDMENT NO. 13 TO THE\nAGREEMENT FOR SERVICES WITH MICHAEL BAKER\nINTERNATIONAL FOR CIP 2303, SANTA MONICA BLVD\nBETWEEN CRESCENT HEIGHTS BLVD. AND LA CIENEGA\nBLVD. PAVEMENT REPAIR PROGRAM [S. CAMPBELL, J.\nGILMOUR]:\nThe City Council will consider approval of a construction agreement\nwith PALP Inc. dba Excel Paving Company to construct CIP No.\n2303, Santa Monica Blvd. between Crescent Heights Blvd. and La\nCienega Blvd. Pavement Repair Program and amending the\nagreement for services with Michael Baker International to increase\nthe not-to-exceed amount and extend the agreement.\nRECOMMENDATIONS: 1) Approve a Construction Agreement with\nPALP Inc. dba Excel Paving Company in the amount of\n$1,498,750.00 for the construction of CIP No. 2303, Santa Monica\nBlvd. between Crescent Heights Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd.\nPavement Repair Program, and authorize the City Manager or\ndesignee to execute documents incident to the Agreement; 2)\nAuthorize the City Engineer to approve change orders to the\nAgreement in an amount not-to-exceed 25% ($374,687.50) of the\ntotal Agreement amount; 3) Authorize the Director of Finance &\nTechnology Services to allocate an additional $880,549.40 from\nunallocated reserves in the Santa Monica Reconstruction Fund to\naccount number 303-4-08-84-704028 for construction of CIP No.\n2303, Santa Monica Blvd. between Crescent Heights Blvd. and La\nCienega Blvd. Pavement Repair Program and its related costs; 4)\nApprove Amendment No. 13 to the Agreement for Services with\nMichael Baker International to increase the amount of the\nAgreement by $150,415.00 for a total not-to-exceed amount of\n$1,028,620.83, and extend the term of the Agreement, and\nauthorize the City Manager or designee to execute documents\nincident to the agreement; and 5) Adopt Resolution No. 23-\n_______, "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY\nOF WEST HOLLYWOOD APPROVING THE DESIGN AND PLANS\nFOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF CIP 2303, SANTA MONICA BLVD\nBETWEEN CRESCENT HEIGHTS BLVD.
