A.13. RECOMMENDATION TO AWARD AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR\nAGREEMENT FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE OF CITY PARKS, CITY\nLANDSCAPED FACILITIES AND LANDSCAPED AQUEDUCT AREAS TO\nMERCHANT’S LANDSCAPE SERVICES INC. (Report of: Parks &\nCommunity Services)\nRecommendations:\n1. Approve the Agreement for Professional Landscape Maintenance\nServices (“Agreement”) with Merchants Landscape Services, Inc.,\n1505 S. Lyon Street, Santa Ana, CA 92705, and waive any and all\nminor irregularities, to provide landscape and irrigation maintenance\nservices for city parks, city landscaped facilities and landscaped\naqueducts for a period of five years at a total not-to-exceed amount of\n$6,503,403.74.\n2. Authorize the City Manager/Executive Director of the Moreno Valley\nCommunity Services District to execute the Agreement with Merchants\nLandscape Services, Inc. and subsequent amendments to the\nAgreement, in accordance with its terms, subject to the approval of the\nCity Attorney provided sufficient funding appropriations and program\napprovals have been granted by the City Council and CSD Board;\nand,\n3. Authorize the City Manager/Executive Director of the Moreno Valley\nCommunity Services District to approve issuance of annual purchase\norders in accordance with the amounts listed on the Parks Landscape\nMaintenance Table II in the Fiscal Impact Section of this report for\neach of the five (5) consecutive fiscal years terms commencing with\nFY 2023/2024 of the Agreement subject to funds available in the City\nCouncil and Moreno Valley Community Services District Board (CSD)\napproved Operating Budget.
