9.3 ACCEPTANCE OF 2023 SCLARC “SOCIAL RECREATION” PROGRAM AGREEMENT\nAND GRANT FUNDING\nComments:\nThe Recreation & Community Services Department applied for grant funding from the\nSouth-Central L.A. Regional Center (SCLARC) and the California Department of\nDevelopment Services (DDS) to support the creation, re-establishment and/or\nenhancement of existing social recreation programs that are inclusive of children and\nadolescents with special needs. Staff is pleased to report that SLARC and DDS have\ninformed the City that its application has been approved. Staff is requesting that the City\nCouncil formally accept the grant through adoption of the accompanying resolution. (REC)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled, “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AN AGREEMENT\nWITH THE SOUTH CENTRAL L.A. REGIONAL CENTER FOR THE 2023 SOCIAL\nRECREATION PROGRAM .”
