PURCHASE ORDER APPROVAL FOR NEW HVAC UNITS FOR THE STANTON\nCOMMUNITY CENTER IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (TASK CODE 2023-603)\nThe Public Works Department is proposing to purchase and replace eight (8) Heating,\nVentilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units for the Stanton Community Center\nImprovement Project in the amount of $133,116. Improving the HVAC system will help\nmaintain good indoor air quality through adequate ventilation and provide efficient\nthermal comfort for residents and visitors of all ages as it relates to future pandemics,\nincluding the Coronavirus Pandemic.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare that this action to be categorically exempt under the California\nQuality Act (“CEQA”), since the action herein does not constitute a “project” as\ndefined by Section 15378 of the CEQA guidelines; and\n2. Declare that the Russell Sigler, Inc. quote using a Sourcewell purchasing contract is\nin accordance with the Purchasing and Contracting Guidelines Section 4.13; and\n3. Authorize a purchase order for eight (8) HVAC units from Russell Sigler, Inc. in the\namount of $133,116.
