9G. SELECTION OF FIREWORKS LICENSEES FOR 2023\nStaff is requesting that the City Council select licensees for 2023 fireworks sales.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council find that the action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality\nAct (“CEQA”) under Section 15061(b)(3) of the State CEQA Guidelines as the\nactivity is covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have\nthe potential for causing significant effect on the environment. Where is can be seen\nwith certainty that there is no possibility that the activity in question may have a\nsignificant effect on the environment, the activity is not subject to CEQA; and\n2. Award fireworks sales licenses to Youth Assistance Foundation of Stanton and Boys\n& Girls Club of Stanton.
