d) REPORT AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE RECTANGULAR\n23-0272 RAPID-FLASHINGBEACONS FROM\nNEXTECH SYSTEMS, INC.\n(Public Works Director Joe SanClemente)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Authorize the purchase of rectangular rapid-flashing beacons from NexTech\nSystems, Inc. in the amount of $129,771.08 (Attachment 2) plus taxes for a total\namount of $142,099.33; and\n2. Authorize the Director of Public Works to establish a contingency amount of $10,000\nfor purchasing additional parts as needed during installation.
