8. RESOLUTION APPROVING A CLASS SPECIFICATION AND SALARY FOR CODE COMPLIANCE\nOFFICER - After a review of organizational structure and departmental efficiencies, the City Manager\nis transitioning code enforcement activities from the Police Department to the Community Development\nDepartment as of July 1, 2023. Code enforcement duties are currently the responsibility of the Police\nServices Coordinator position and a new classification titled Code Compliance Officer is being created\nto recognize the transition from the Police Department.\nRecommendation: That the City Council adopt the attached Resolution titled, “A RESOLUTION OF\nTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA VERNE, COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, STATE OF\nCALIFORNIA, APPROVING A CLASS SPECIFICATION AND SALARY FOR CODE COMPLIANCE\nOFFICER.”
