H. AUTHORIZATION TO RECEIVE THE CALIFORNIA AUTOMATED PERMIT\nPROCESSING GRANT AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE\nCALIFORNIA ENERGY COMMISSION\nThe City Council is requested to receive the California Automated Permit\nProcessing Grant and authorize the City to enter into a grant agreement with the\nCalifornia Department of Energy to comply with Senate Bill 379.\nRecommendation:\nThe City Council is requested to:\n1. Receive the California Automated Permit Processing Grant (Cal-APP) in the\namount of $40,000;\n2. Authorize the City Manager to enter into a grant agreement with the California\nDepartment of Energy; and\n3. Amend the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2024 budget to demonstrate the increased\nrevenue and costs associated with the implementation of the solar permitting\nsystem.
