9.3 APPROVAL AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO EDGEWORTH SECURITY FOR THE\nPURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF 26 VERKADA MULTI-SENSOR DOME\nCAMERAS AND WIRELESS NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE\nComments:\nThe City has 26 surveillance cameras at traffic intersections throughout the City and and\nsome park locations that were installed 13 to 14 years ago and were monitored by the\nSheriff's Department. The cameras and wireless network are no longer operational due\nto age.\nRecommending award of contract to Edgeworth Security for the purchase and installation\nof 26 Verkada surveillance cameras to replace non-operational cameras at existing\n4\nlocations. (IT)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached resolution entitled: “A\nRESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AWARDING A\nCONTRACT TO EDGEWORTH SECURITY AS THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER,\nIN THE AMOUNT OF $344,536.42 FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF 26\nVERKADA MULTI-SENSOR DOME CAMERAS AND WIRELESS NETWORK\nINFRASTRUCTURE; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE\nAGREEMENT AMENDMENTS RELATED TO THE PROJECT; AND AUTHORIZING THE\nMAYOR TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT APPROVED AS TO FORM BY THE CITY\nATTORNEY.”
