9G. AWARD OF A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT TO YAMADA\nENTERPRISES FOR CONSULTATION, DESIGN, PROCUREMENT AND\nINSTALLATION OF FURNITURE AT THE STANTON FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER\nThe City’s Community Services Department obtained a Community Development Block\nGrant (CDBG) from the County of Orange for renovations to the City’s Family Resource\nCenter. The Department secured additional funding to furnish the facility through\nSupervisor Doug Chaffee’s office. Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the\nCity Manager to enter into an agreement with Yamada Enterprises using a cooperative\npurchasing agreement for procurement and installation of furniture.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\n1. City Council declare this project to be categorically exempt under the California\nEnvironmental Quality Act, Section 15378(b)(5) (Organizational or administrative\nactivities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in\nthe environment); and\n2. Declare that the Yamada Enterprises quote using a TIPS purchasing contract is in\naccordance with the Purchasing and Contracting Guidelines Section 4.13; and\n3. Approve a Professional Services Agreement with Yamada Enterprises to assist in\nthe procurement and installation of furniture for the Stanton Family Resource Center\nfor the maximum contract sum of $96,800; and\n4. Authorize the City Manager to bind the City of Stanton and Yamada Enterprises in a\ncontract to provide these services.\nJune 13, 2023
