i) REPORT APPROVAL OF A REQUEST TO RECLASSIFY THE SENIOR\n23-0343 PLANNER POSITION IN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT\nDEPARTMENT TO PLANNING MANAGER; REVISE THE\nPLANNING MANAGER CLASS SPECIFICATION;\nRE-ESTABLISH THE PLANNING MANAGER BARGAINING\nUNIT ASTHE PROFESSIONAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE\nEMPLOYEE GROUP; AND APPROVE THE FIVE-STEP\nSALARY RANGE\n(Human Resources Manager Vanessa Godinez)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Approve a request to reclassify the Senior Planner position in the Community\nDevelopment Department to Planning Manager;\n2. Approve the revised class specification for the position of Planning Manager\n(Attachment 2);\n3. Approve the reestablishment of the position in the Professional and Administrative\nEmployee Bargaining Group; and\n4. Approve the establishment of the five-step salary range for this position as $11,803 to\n$14,407 per month.
