s) REPORT INTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND\n23-0327 HERMOSA BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE TITLE 15, CHAPTER\n15.20 TO ADOPT THE 2023 LOS ANGELES COUNTY\nFIRE CODE\n(Building and Code Enforcement Official Guillermo Hobelman and\nCommunity Development Director Carrie Tai)\nRecommendation: Staff recommends City Council:\n1. Introduce and waive full reading and introduce by title only an Ordinance of the City of\nHermosa Beach, California, adopting by reference Title 32, Fire Code, of the Los Angeles\nCounty Code, incorporating the California Fire Code, 2022 edition, with certain changes\nand amendments; making amendments to said codes; amending Title 15 of the Hermosa\nBeach Municipal Code; and finding the action exempt from the California Environmental\nQuality Act (Attachment 1);\n2. Direct staff to set a public hearing on July 11, 2023; and\n3. Direct the City Clerk to publish a summary ordinance.
