2.2 RESOLUTION TO LEVY AND COLLECT ASSESSMENTS WITHIN THE VILLAGE\nMAINTENANCE ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-92 FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-24\nCity Council will consider a formal resolution authorizing the levy and collection of assessments within the\nVillage Maintenance Assessment District for Fiscal Year 2023-24. The assessments support ongoing\nmaintenance activities within the Village area and property owners are assessed based upon the total amount\nof street frontage they own within the assessed area. The assessment amounts were adopted in June 2021\nthrough a noticed Proposition 218 hearing whereby the City Council approved a rate structure that included\na five-year rate increase through Fiscal Year 2025-26. The assessment for Fiscal Year 2023-24 is $33.00 per\nlinear foot and will result in a total collection of approximately $170,000 from the assessed parcels.\nEnvironmental Determination: Under Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)\nGuidelines, this is not a project, and, therefore, no environmental review is required.
