RESOLUTION NO.      - Appropriation of funds not to exceed $7,511,710:  And use of Gap Projects Allowance from the Roadways, Utilities and Enabling Projects contract with Skanska USA Civil West California District, Inc., for construction of the 98th Street Stormwater Detention Basin Project at Los Angeles International Airport \nPURPOSE: Staff requests approval and appropriation of funds not to exceed $7,511,710 for the 98th Street Stormwater Detention Basin Project. The project will construct a new stormwater detention basis at the corner of 98th Street and Concourse Way for the Landside Access Modernization Program. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.i of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; find that the work can be performed more economically or feasibly by an independent contractor than by City employees; approve appropriation of capital funds of $7,511,710 for construction of the 98th Street Stormwater Detention Basin Project; further approve use of the Gap Projects Allowance of not to exceed $7,511,710 from the Roadways, Utilities and Enabling Projects contract with Skanska USA Civil West California District Inc.; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute a task order in said amount.
