RESOLUTION NO.      - Change Orders 45 and 46 to Contract DA-5417 with Griffith Company:  For total amount of $4,831,904, covering the Secured Area Access Post and Enabling Projects at Los Angeles International Airport; and appropriation of $3,647,664 \nPURPOSE: The proposed change orders compensate Griffith Company for additional costs associated with utility disconnect delays, unforeseen utility conflicts, third party delays on utility coordination, and site access constraints. Staff is also requesting appropriation of additional funds to cover a portion of the increased costs for the changes which cannot be covered by project contingency. \nRECOMMENDATIONS: Adoption of the Report requesting that the Board of Airport Commissioners determine that this action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article II, Section 2.i of the Los Angeles City CEQA Guidelines; approve Change Orders 45 and 46 to Contract DA-5417 with Griffith Company; further approve appropriation of capital funds in amount of $3,647,664; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer, or designee, to execute said Change Orders.
