9) CONSIDERATION OF PARTICIPATION IN THE PUBLIC PROVIDER GROUND\nEMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORT PROGRAM AND CONTINUED PARTICIPATION IN\nTHE GROUND EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORT PROGRAM AND QUALITY\nASSURANCE FEE PROGRAM\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Authorize participation in the Public Provider-Ground Emergency Medical\nTransport Intergovernmental Transfer (PP-GEMT IGT) Program;\n2. Authorize continued participation in the Ground Emergency Medical Transport (GEMT)\nand Quality Assurance Fee (QAF) programs;\n3. Authorize the City Manager to execute any documents necessary in connection with\nparticipation in the GEMT and QAF programs, in such form as approved by the City\nAttorney; and\n4. Ratify the Department of Healthcare Services Public Provider Intergovernmental Transfer\nProgram for Ground Emergency Medical Transportation Services Certification Form for\nState Calendar Year 2023 executed by the Acting City Manager on June 5, 2023 in the\namount of $197,220.05; and\n5. Authorize the City Manager to execute any documents necessary in connection with\nparticipation in the PP-GEMT IGT Program, in such form as approved by the City\nAttorney; and\n6. Authorize the City Manager to approve payments and accept reimbursements related to\nparticipation in the GEMT, QAF, and PP-GEMT IGT programs.\nHUMAN RESOURCES/RISK MANAGEMENT
