Item No. 15. 2023-0298 CONSIDER APPROVAL OF AMENDMENT NO 1. TO\nTHE AGREEMENT FOR CONTRACT SERVICES\nBETWEEN THE CITY OF CARSON AND MRS\nENVIRONMENTAL, INC. FOR ADDITIONAL SCOPE\nOF WORK FOR THE AUDIT OF PIPELINE\nFRANCHISES\nRecommendation: 1. WAIVE the formal bidding procedures as defined by the Carson\nMunicipal Code pursuant to the Carson Municipal Code Sections\n2611(e) (sole source purchasing);\n2. APPROVE Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with MRS\nEnvironmental Inc. for the Audit of Pipeline Franchises for an\nadditional amount of $56,886.00 and to extend the term to\nDecember 31, 2024.\n3. AUTHORIZE the expenditure of contingency, if necessary, in the\namount of $16,377 (20%) for extra work beyond that specified in\nthe Scope of Services.\n4.
