12.w Initiation of Proceedings for Annexation Levy and Annual Assessments Collection for FY\n2023/24, Setting Public Hearing for Protests, and Declaring Intention to Annex Territories to\nCovina Landscape District No. 1 – Zones 15, 16, 17 and 18\nStaff Recommendation:\n1. Adopt Resolution CC 2023-56 initiating proceedings for the annexation of territory (Zones\n15, 16, 17 and 18) to Covina Landscape District No. 1 and the levy and collection of annual\nassessments related thereto commencing with FY 2023/2024, pursuant to the Provisions of\nPart 2 of Division 15 of California Streets and Highways Code; and\n2. Adopt Resolution CC 2023-57 declaring the City’s intention to annex territory (Zones 15,\n16, 17 and 18), levy and collect annual assessments and call for a property owner protest\nproceedings for the Covina Landscape District No. 1.
