Authorize the Disposal of Surplus and Obsolete Equipment by Way of Public Auction\n(Finance)\nRecommendation:\n Declare the below equipment surplus; and authorize their disposal by\nway of public auction.\nf. Request Approval to Sell a 2006 Pierce Dash 100’ Platform Fire Truck to Brindlee\nMountain Fire Apparatus (Fire)\nRecommendation:\n Authorize the Director of Finance and Administrative Services to sell a\n2006 Pierce Dash 100’ Platform Fire Truck to Brindlee Mountain Fire\nApparatus for $155,000.\ng. Reorganization and Modernization of the Safe Neighborhood Team\n(SNT)/Residential Emergency and Disaster (READI) Program (Police Services)\nRecommendation:\n Approve the reorganization and modernization of the Safe Neighborhood\nTeam (SNT)/Residential Emergency and Disaster (READI) program and\ndissolve the existing SNT/READI committee and bylaws.\n4\nh. 2022 General Plan Housing Element Annual Progress Report (Planning)\nRecommendation:\n Find and determine that the Annual Progress Report is exempt from The\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15061(b)\n(3). The 2022 Annual Report was assessed in accordance with the\nauthority and criteria contained in CEQA and the State CEQA Guidelines.\nIt can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the report may\nhave a significant effect on the environment. The report does not authorize\nconstruction and any future development proposed pursuant to the\nprograms in the City’s Housing Element will require separate\nenvironmental analysis when details of those proposals are known.\n Authorize staff to forward the 2022 General Plan Housing Element Annual\nProgress Report to the California Department of Housing and Community\nDevelopment (HCD) and the Governor’s Office of Planning and Research\n(OPR).\ni. Residential Concrete Improvements – Final Payment (Public Works)\nRecommendation:\n Approve the Final Payment to CT&T Concrete Paving Inc. of Diamond\nBar, California, for $470,638.80 (Less 5% Retention) for the subject\nproject.\nj. Resolution No. 9864 – Adopt Residential Streets Improvements South Florence\nAvenue (Triangle) and Longworth Ave (Orr & Day Road to Harvest Ave) Project for\nRoad Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 Funds (Fiscal Year 2023/24) (Public\nWorks)\nRecommendation:\n Adopt Resolution No. 9864 approving the Residential Streets\nImprovements South Florence Avenue Project to be partially funded by\nSB1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act;\n Authorize the Interim Director of Public Works to submit an application to\nthe California Transportation Commission for the allocation of Road\nMaintenance and Rehabilitation Account (SB1) funds to the Residential\nStreets Improvements South Florence Avenue Project.\nk. Betty Wilson Center Roof Replacement – Final Payment (Public Works)\nRecommendation:\n Approve the Final Payment to Chapman Coast Roofing Inc. of Fullerton,\nCalifornia in the amount of $99,413.00 (less 5% Retention) for the\nsubject project.\nl. Little Lake Park Parking Lot Improvements – Authorization to Advertise for\nConstruction Bids (Public Works)\nRecommendation:\n Approve the Plans and Specifications; and\n Authorize the Interim City Manager to advertise for construction bids.\n5\nm. Update City Ordinance No. 1129 – Cross-Connection Control Program (Public\nWorks)\nRecommendation:\n Adopt Ordinance No. 1129 regarding Backflow Prevention and Cross-\nConnection Control Program Requirements.\nn. Revising Rules for Youth Based Commissions and Committees (Community\nServices)\nRecommendation:\n Introduce by title only and waive further reading of Ordinance No. 1130,\nan ordinance of the City of Santa Fe Springs amending Sections 32.33\nand 32.34 of Chapter 32 of Title III of the Code of Santa Fe Springs\nrelating to City Commissions and Committees; and\n Adopt Resolution No. 9873, a resolution of the City Council of the City of\nSanta Fe Springs, California, setting rules for the Youth Leadership\nCommittee.\nNEW BUSINESS
