9. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH WORKCARE, INC. FOR A\nBUENA PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT COMPREHENSIVE WELLNESS PROGRAM\nAND ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT FROM THE BOARD OF STATE AND\nCOMMUNITY CORRECTIONS (BSCC) FOR THE PROGRAM\nPurpose: Authorize the Human Resources Department to accept an Officer Wellness\nand Mental Health grant to fund a new Police Department comprehensive wellness\nprogram award. Funds in the amount of $58,272.86 from a BSCC grant will be used for\nthis purpose. A budget transfer in the amount of $23,918 from the undesignated\nGeneral Fund reserve balance is required to fund the balance of the program cost.\nRecommended Action: 1) Approve a professional services agreement with WorkCare,\nInc. for a Buena Park Police Department comprehensive wellness program; 2) Authorize\nthe City Manager and City Attorney to make any necessary, non-monetary changes to\nthe agreement; 3) Authorize the City Manager and City Clerk to execute the agreement;\n4) Accept grant funds in the amount $58,272.86 from the BSCC for the program; 5)\nAuthorize the City Manager or his designee to sign all necessary grant documents to\naccept the funds; 6) Authorize a budget allocation in the amount of $58,272.86 for this\npurpose; and 7) Authorize a budget transfer in the amount of $23,918 from the\nundesignated General Fund reserve balance for this purpose.
