6. AUTHORIZE RFP: ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING (ERP) FINANCIAL\nSOFTWARE AND IMPLEMENTATION SERVICES – F2M23-21, RFP2M23-1\nAt the September 27, 2021 and January 24, 2022 City Council meetings, staff presented\nto the Council on the proposed plan for the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021\nrelief funds. The Council approved a listing of projects using the federal ARPA funds. The\nproposed plan contains funding for a modernized ERP financial system, which is an\nintegrated suite of software applications that will provide for data input for accounting,\nhuman resources, inventory, capital assets, budgeting, payroll, purchasing, and\ncashiering. The goal of the RFP is to implement a financial software based upon today’s\nindustry-standard open architecture and one that will provide a high level of functionality\nwith ease of use.\nRecommended Action: City Council authorize the distribution of a Request for\nProposals (RFP) to prospective firms to provide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)\nfinancial software and implementation services with proposals due by 5:00 p.m. on\nFebruary 15, 2023; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s\naction.
