RESOLUTION APPROVING YEAR THREE PARTICIPATION IN THE LOS\nANGELES URBAN COUNTY PERMANENT LOCAL HOUSING ALLOCATION\nGRANT PROGRAM\nSummary:\nLos Angeles County (County) was granted funding from the State’s five-year\nPermanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) grant program in 2020. Los\nAngeles County Development Authority (LACDA) was assigned to facilitate and\noversee implementation of funded activities. In accordance with its Urban\nCounty Agreement with LACDA, the City of Signal Hill chose to participate in the\nPLHA program through an option to request local funds for alternate local\nactivities related to implementation of the 6th Cycle Housing Element, as well as\nin the County’s selected Eviction Defense Program. The City previously\nsubmitted for Year One and Year Two PLHA grant funds. Staff is recommending\nRecommendation:\nAdopt a resolution, entitled:\nA RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SIGNAL HILL,\nCALIFORNIA, APPROVING YEAR THREE PARTICIPATION IN THE LOS\nANGELES URBAN COUNTY PERMANENT LOCAL HOUSING ALLOCATION\nPROGRAM BY AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, OR HIS/HER DESIGNEE, TO\nSIGN A REIMBURSABLE CONTRACT WITH THE LOS ANGELES COUNTY\nDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (LACDA) ACTING ON BEHALF OF THE\nCOUNTY
