e) CONSIDERATION OF RESOLUTION 23-50, APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR\nGRANT FUNDS FROM THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL, THE CANNABIS\nTAX FUND GRANT OPPORTUNITY FOR WHICH THE CITY OF SIERRA MADRE IS\nELIGIBLE; AND IF SELECTED, APPROVING THE EXECUTION OF STANDARD\nAGREEMENTS AND ANY AMENDMENTS THERETO, AND ANY RELATED\nDOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE\nIt is recommended that the City Council approve Resolution 23-50, granting an award to\nthe Sierra Madre Police Department from the California Highway Patrol (CHP),\nCannabis Tax Fund Grant (CTFG) in the amount of $121,950.06. The police\ndepartment will use the grant funds for enforcement and education related to cannabis\nuse and possession.\nDISCUSSION
