12. SAND CANYON TRAIL - PEDESTRIAN BRIDGES, PHASE IV, PROJECT\nT3024 - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT -\nThis item awards a construction contract and modifies the existing construction support\nservices contract for the pedestrian bridge component of Phase IV of the Sand Canyon\nTrail project. The improvements include the construction of two pedestrian bridges\nwithin the segment of Sky Ranch Road to Iron Canyon Road.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Approve plans and specifications for the Sand Canyon Trail – Pedestrian Bridges,\nPhase IV, Project T3024.\n2. Award the Sand Canyon Trail – Pedestrian Bridges, Phase IV construction contract to\nWright Construction Engineering Corp., in the amount of $814,814 and authorize a\ncontingency in the amount of $162,963, for a total contract amount not to exceed\n$977,777.\n3. Extend the current contract and authorize an increased expenditure authority for\nconstruction support services for the Sand Canyon Trail – Pedestrian Bridges, Phase\nIV project with Tetra Tech, Inc., in the amount of $48,499 and authorize a\ncontingency in the amount of $7,275, for a total additional contract amount not to\nexceed $55,774.\n4. Authorize the City Manager or designee to execute all documents, subject to City\nAttorney approval.\nThis time has been set aside for any speakers that have turned in speaker cards and were not\nheard in the first thirty minutes allotted to address the City Council on items that are NOT on the\nagenda.
