3.6 Award of Contract for the Playground Renovation Project for Liberty Park -\nProject No. P-2579.\nRECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends that the Mayor and City Council:\nA. Approve a budget adjustment from the Park Dedication Fund balance (Fund 200)\nto a newly created CIP Project Account Number 76502-762302, “Liberty Park\nPlayground Renovation Project,” in the amount of $215,000; and\nB. Award the contract to the lowest and responsible bidder in the amount of\n$321,478 to R.E. Schultz Construction, Inc. and reject all other bids; and\nJUNE 28, 2023\nC. Authorize a 10% contingency in the amount of $32,147.80 for potential\nchange orders; and\nD. Authorize the City Manager to execute the contract on behalf of the City, in\na form approved by the City Attorney.
