F. Award Contract to Granite Construction Company for City-Wide\nRepaving Projects\nRecommendation: For the City Council to:\n(i) Award a construction contract to Granite Construction\nCompany, in the amount of $970,221.00 for the construction\nof the East Palm Canyon Drive Pavement Rehabilitation\nProject (C08669), Da Vall Street Improvements (C08665),\nSan Eljay Pavement Rehabilitation (C08667), and the Public\nAlley Reconstruction Project (C08670); and\n(ii) Approve a contingency in the amount of $97,022.10\nfor any unforeseeable construction costs; thereby, bringing\nthe total construction budget for these Projects to\n$1,067,243.10; and\n(iii) Approve the allocation of available FY 2023-2024 CIP\nUnidentified General Funds (MOE) from account 100-100-\n150-156-8800-8802 in the amount of $147,282.50 for the\nconstruction of the Da Vall Street Improvements (C08665)\nand Public Alley Reconstruction Projects; and\n(iv) Approve the allocation of available Measure A\nFunds from account 243-100-150-156-8800-8802 for the\nconstruction of East Palm Canyon Pavement Rehabilitation\n(C08669) and Da Vall Street Improvements (C08665) in the\namount of $541,829.00; and\n(v) Approved the allocation of available Assessment\nDistrict 86-5 Funds from account 344-100-150-156-8800-\n8802 for the construction of San Eljay Pavement\nRehabilitation (C08667) in the amount of $378,131.60; and\nCathedral City Page 6\n(vi) Authorize the City Manager to execute the required\ncontract documents; and authorize the City Engineer to\nrequest bonds and insurance for the Project and issue the\nNotice to Proceed.
