7. APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH THE FULLERTON JOINT HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT\n(FJUHSD) FOR SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER SERVICES FOR THE 2023-2024\nSCHOOL YEAR\nPurpose: Authorize the Police Department to renew an agreement to provide school\nresource officer (SRO) services at Buena Park High School. Associated costs are in the\namount of $235,366. The FJUHSD will reimburse the City for 180 instructional days, or\n75% of a police officer’s salary and benefits up to $176,524. This leaves a residual of\n$58,842 annually to be paid by the General Fund (11-5059-650402).\nRecommended Action: 1) Approve an agreement with the Fullerton Joint Union High\nSchool District (FJUHSD) to provide school resource officer services at Buena Park High\nSchool for the 2023-2024 school year; 2) Authorize the City Manager and City Attorney\nto make any necessary, non-monetary changes to the agreement; and 3) Authorize the\nCity Manager and City Clerk to execute the agreement.
