SECOND READING AND ADOPTION OF AN ORDINANCE TO ADOPT THE\n2023 LOS ANGELES COUNTY FIRE CODE - TITLE 32 - This ordinance adopts the\n2023 Los Angeles County Fire Code - Title 32 of the Los Angeles County Code, which\nbecame effective on March 2, 2023, which includes higher standards for structural and\nfire protection in new buildings based on local climatic, geologic, and topographical\nconditions, floodplain management regulations, as well as administrative provisions for\nenforcement of the codes at the local level.\nRECOMMENDED ACTION:\nCity Council:\n1. Conduct a public hearing for the adoption of the 2023 Los Angeles County Fire Code\n– Title 32.
