3.2 Contract Award - Road Rehab and Maintenance Project and Slurry Seal\nProject (CIP 057-2, 058)\nPresented By: Jason Farag , Public Works/ Engineering Department\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Adopt a Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15301(c) of the CEQA\nGuidelines.\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute a construction contract with All\nAmerican Asphalt in the amount of $3,793,100.56 for the Road Maintenance\nand Rehabilitation Project (CIP 057-2) and Slurry Seal Project (CIP 058-2)\nand waive any informality or irregularity in the Bid.\n3. Authorize the Public Works Director to approve change orders not to exceed\n7.5% of the construction contract amount (contingency).\n4. Authorize the City Manager to execute a work order with Geocon West, Inc.\nin the amount of $35,050 for material testing for the Road Maintenance and\nRehabilitation Project (CIP 057-2), including Extra Work Authorizations not to\nexceed $5,000, for a total not to exceed $40,085.\n5. Authorize the City Manager to execute an Professional Services Agreement\nwith Labelle-Marvin, Inc. in the amount of $44,848 for material testing for the\nSlurry Seal Project (CIP 058-2), including Extra Work Authorizations not to\nexceed $5,000, for a total not to exceed $49,848.\n6. Authorize the City Manager to execute a work order with Interwest Consulting\nGroup in the amount of $99,935 for Construction Management services for\nthe Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation and Slurry Seal Projects, including\na 10% contingency, for a total not to exceed $109,928.50.\n7. Approve a supplemental appropriation for Fund 505 to include $25,000 in\nrevenue and expenditures.\n8. Approve a supplemental appropriation for Fund 507 to include $60,000 in\nrevenue and expenditures.\n9
