1.13 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF REIMBURSABLE AGREEMENTS WITH\nTHE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL (CHP) FOR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN\nSUPPORT OF SPECIAL EVENTS\nCity Council will consider a formal resolution authorizing the execution of a reimbursable agreement with\nthe California Highway Patrol (CHP) for traffic management services in support of special events. The City\nrequires the support of the CHP for the management of traffic related to special events, including 4th of July\nand Tour de Big Bear, each year and is required to execute a reimbursable agreement for these services. The\ncost of the event services is based upon the number of officers required and the duration of service and the\ncost of the services is less than $10,000 per event. The proposed resolution will authorize the City Manager,\nor his designee, to execute these agreements on behalf of the City.\nEnvironmental Determination: Under Section 15378 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)\nGuidelines, this is not a project, and, therefore, no environmental review is required.
