G. APPROVAL OF PURCHASE ORDER WITH TAYLOR TENNIS COURTS,\nINCORPORATED IN THE AMOUNT OF $35,700 FOR THE RESURFACING OF\nTHE TENNIS COURTS AT SMITH PARK AND WASHINGTON SCHOOL PARK\nThe existing tennis/pickleball courts at Smith Park and Washington School Park\nare in need of resurfacing. At Smith Park, one court will be striped for tennis\nonly and one court for tennis and pickleball. At Washington School Park, both\ncourts will be striped for tennis only. The total price for the resurfacing and\npainting of the courts at Smith Park and Washington School Park is $35,700.\nFunds are available in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget Special Projects\nAccount No. 124-850-18-96-816 in the amount of $30,000 for the court\nresurfacing. An appropriation of $9,270 is requested to cover the total amount\nneeded for the project. There will be no impact to the General Fund.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Authorize the issuance of a purchase order for $35,700 to Taylor Tennis\nCourts Incorporated for the resurfacing of the courts at Smith Park and\nWashington School Park to be funded from Special Projects Account No.\n124-850-18-96-816.\n2. Authorize the issuance of a separate purchase order for $3,570 to cover a\n10% contingency, if needed, from Special Projects Account No. 124-850-18-\n96-816.\n3. Adopt Resolution No. 23-44 amending the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Budget to\nappropriate additional funds from the Activities account (Fund 173) to\nAccount No. 124-850-18-96-816 for the resurfacing.\n4. Authorize the City Manager to sign the contracts with Taylor Tennis Courts,\nIncorporated.
