K. ORDINANCE NO. 690: AMENDING CHAPTER 153 OF THE SAN GABRIEL\nMUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO DENSITY BONUS (ZTA23-001) – SECOND\nREADING AND ADOPTION\nAdoption of Ordinance No. 690 would amend Title XV, Chapter 153 (Zoning\nCode) of the San Gabriel Municipal Code (SGMC) relating to Density Bonus to\nmake it consistent with State law. Ordinance No. 690 was introduced and\nscheduled for second reading and adoption by a 5-0 vote of the City Council at\nthe June 20, 2023, City Council meeting. The Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Adopted\nBudget includes the cost for required legal publication (Account No. 121-702-\n00-65-000) and codification (Account No. 121-702-00-22-000) of the\nordinance.\nCalifornia Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Determination: Not a Project as\ndefined in Section 15378 of the State CEQA Guidelines.\nRecommended Action:\nStaff recommends that the City Council waive the reading in full, read by title\nonly and adopt Ordinance No. 690 entitled, “An Ordinance of the City Council\nof the City of San Gabriel, California, Approving Planning Case No. ZTA23-001,\nAmending Title XV, Chapter 153 (Zoning) relating to Density Bonus.
