14.10 Consideration and Approval of a Construction Contract with PALP Inc. dba Excel\nPaving Company for the Zone 3 Street Improvement Project, CIP 053, for a Not-to-\nExceed Amount of $5,661,647.70.\nRECOMMENDATION OF BUSINESS ITEM UNDER CONSIDERATION:\nIt is recommended that the City Council:\n1. Consider and approve a Construction Contract with Palp Inc. dba Excel Paving Company\nfor the Zone 3 Street Improvement Project, CIP 053 for a not-to-exceed amount of\n$5,661,647.70, plus a contingency of $514,695;\n2. Consider and approve the appropriation from SB1 funds to Project Account Number 223-\n67-053-8221 in the amount of $1,000,000;\n3. Consider and approve the appropriation from Gas Tax funds to Project Account Number\n205-67-890-8221 in the amount of $246,424; and\n4. Authorize the City Manager, or her designee, to execute the Construction Contract with\nPalp Inc. dba Excel Paving Company.\nTotal Cost: $5,661,647.70 Account No: SB1 Funds - $1,300,000\nMeasure M Funds - $2,380,000\nSB1 Funds - $1,000,000\nGas Tax Fund - $ 246,424\nMeasure M Funds - $ 350,000\nIs the cost of this item budgeted?
