G. Authorization to Accept FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) and authorize purchase of\nautomated chest compression devices\nRecommended Action\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Authorize the City Manager to accept a grant awarded in the amount of $101,818.18\nfrom the Federal Emergency Management Agency Assistance to Firefighters Grant\n(AFG) to partially cover the purchase of four automated chest compression devices for\nthe Fire Department.\n2. Authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents to accept the grant and\nall grant renewals.\n3. Authorize the Procurement Manager to issue a purchase order with Stryker Corporation\nfor the purchase of automated chest compression devices for the Fire Department. This\nrecommended award is made as an exception to the competitive bidding process\npursuant to Section 2.24.250(c) and is for a total amount not to exceed $143,074 with\nfuture year funding contingent on Council budget approval.\n4. Authorize budget changes as outlined in the Financial Impacts & Budget Actions section\nof this report.\n5.
