E. Authorize and Execute a First Modification to the Agreement with Safeguard US Inc. for Fall\nProtection Services\nRecommended Action\nStaff recommends that the City Council:\n1. Adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption pursuant to Section 15301 (Existing Facilities),\nof the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines.\n2. Authorize the City Manager to negotiate and execute a first modification to agreement\n#11149 in the amount of $299,023 (including a 15% contingency) with Safeguard US, Inc.\nto provide fall protection infrastructure in response to the findings of a fall hazards\nlocation report conducted as part of the City’s Risk Management program. This will result\nin a four-year amended agreement with a new total amount not to exceed $1,930,957,\nwith future year funding contingent on Council budget approval.\n3.
