13. APPOINTMENT OF LISA JEANNE BARR AS A TEMPORARY POLICE DISPATCH\nSUPERVISOR TO PERFORM WORK OF A LIMITED DURATION AND RESOLUTION\nFOR EXCEPTION TO THE 180-DAY WAIT PERIOD CERTIFYING POLICE DISPATCH\nSUPERVISOR CLASSIFICATION AS A CRITICALLY-NEEDED POSITION\nPresented by Eddie Fenton, Assistant City Manager/Director of Human Resources\nPurpose: Adopt a resolution approving the exception to the 180-day wait period for post-\nretirement employment pursuant to Government Code 75522.56 to appoint Lisa Jeanne\nBarr as a temporary Police Dispatch Supervisor. This proposal will cost approximately\n$5,000 per month. There are sufficient salary savings within the Police Department\nbudget from staff vacancies to cover this cost. No additional budget appropriation is\nrequired.\nRecommended Action: 1) Adopt a resolution for exception to the 180-day wait period\nand certify the critical importance of appointing Lisa Jeanne Barr as a temporary Police\nDispatch Supervisor.
