E. AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW AIRCRAFT RESCUE AND\nFIREFIGHTING (ARFF) TRUCK AND EQUIPMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED\n$1,240,370.76\nRECOMMENDATION:\n1. Approve the issuance of a purchase order to Oshkosh Corporation, for the purchase\nof one new Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) truck and equipment in an\namount not to exceed $1,127,609.78, inclusive of sales tax;\n2. Delegate authority to the City Manager or designee to approve and execute change\norders up to a total amount of\n3. After delivery of the new vehicle, declare existing vehicle being replaced as surplus\nand seek approval from the FAA to authorize the Fleet Maintenance Manager to sell\nat public auction in accordance with Chapter 7.07 of the Palm Springs Municipal\nCode; and,\n4.
