8. RESTATED AND AMENDED EXISTING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH\nINTEGRATED LAW & JUSTICE AGENCY FOR ORANGE COUNTY (ILJAOC) TO\nFURTHER CLARIFY THE AGREEMENT AND ENSURE THE PRACTICES OF THE\nBOARD CONFORM WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE AGREEMENT\nPurpose: Approve the restated and amended existing joint powers agreement with the\nILJAOC. The agreement has not been amended since June 8, 2015. Following a\nquestion regarding voting alternates appointed by the Orange County Chiefs’ and\nSheriff’s Association, board directors and legal counsel proposed minor amendments to\nclarify the agreement and ensure the practices of the Board conform with the\nrequirements of the Agreement. There is no budget impact associated with this item.\nRecommended Action: 1) Approve the recommended amendments to the previously\namended Joint Powers Agreement for the ILJAOC; 2) Authorize the City Manager and\nCity Attorney to make any non-monetary changes to the agreement; and, 3) Authorize\nthe City Manager and City Clerk to execute the amended Joint Agreement.
