12. RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT ON CITY’S BEHALF\nCALTRANS HIGHWAY SAFETY IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FUNDS – F2M23-18,\nR2M23-35\n7\n7-24-23\nThe City of Alhambra has been notified the Installation of Pedestrian Countdown Signal\nHead Systems Project submitted under HSIP has been approved in the amount of\n$876,000. The Federal Funds for the Project will be distributed through the California\nDepartment of Transportation and Los Angeles County MTA. The contract documents\nrequire the City Council to adopt a resolution designating an official to execute the\nagreements and supporting documents. Staff is recommending the City Council designate\nthe City Manager.\nRecommended Action: City Council adopt Resolution No. R2M23-35 entitled: A\nResolution of the Alhambra City Council authorizing the City Manager to act on behalf of\nthe City of Alhambra with respect to the CALTRANS Highway Safety Improvement\nProgram (HSIP) administered through the California Department of Transportation and\nLos Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA); and, direct staff to\nundertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.
