16. AWARD CONTRACT & APPROPRIATE FUNDS: UNINTERRUPTABLE POWER\nSUPPLY SYSTEMS – F2M23-48, RFP2M23-14, C2M23-60, M2M23-120\nOn May 22, 2023, the City Council approved the distribution of a Request for Proposals\n(RFP) for uninterruptable power supply systems. On June 28, 2023, the City received one\nproposal. Staff evaluated and ranked the proposal in accordance with the criteria\nstatement in the RFP. The proposal received from Total Concept Sales met the\nrequirements based on quality and completeness of submitted proposal, understanding of\nthe project objectives and system requirements, project approach, project timeline,\nimplementation, and training plan, fee proposal/proposed cost, support and services,\nqualifications and experience with similar types of efforts and professional references.\nServices include installation of equipment, upgrading electrical wiring, preventative\nmaintenance for a 5-year period and administration of upgrades. The project will replace\nthe emergency rental of an existing UPS unit and replace one that is beyond its useful life.\nRecommended Action: City Council award a contract, subject to final language\napproval by the City Manager and City Attorney, to Total Concept Sales in an amount up\nto $201,898.08 for the purchase and installation of two uninterruptable power supply\n(UPS) systems for the Police Department; appropriate additional funds to enable the\ncontract; and, direct staff to undertake the steps necessary to finalize Council’s action.\n(M2M23-120)
