10. RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND APPROVAL OF A\nCONTRACT WITH ELECNOR BELCO ELECTRIC, INC. FOR THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL\nMODIFICATIONS AT KNOTT AVENUE AND HOLDER STREET PROJECT\nPresented by Cesar Ortiz, P.E., Principal Engineer\nPurpose: Authorize the Public Works Department to hire a contractor to modify the traffic\nsignal at the intersection of Knott Avenue and Holder Street. Associated costs in the\namount of $524,532 will be allocated from the project account and will require additional\nfunds in the amount of $275,000 from the Traffic Signal Improvements Account\n(No. 24-9806-590025) for this purpose.\nRecommended Action: 1) Adopt a resolution approving plans and specifications for the\nTraffic Signal Modifications at Knott Avenue and Holder Street Project; 2) Award a\ncontract with Elecnor Belco Electric, Inc. in the amount of $454,532; 3) Authorize\ncontingency funds in the amount of $45,000 in the same purchase order; 4) Authorize\nconstruction engineering funds in the amount of $25,000; 5) Authorize the City Manager\nand the City Clerk to make any necessary, non-monetary changes to the contract;\n6) Authorize the City Manager and the City Clerk to execute the contract; and,\n7) Authorize a budget transfer in the amount of $275,000 from the Traffic Signal\nImprovements Account (No. 24-9806-590025) for this purpose.
