3. AUTHORIZATION TO SUBMIT A JOINT APPLICATION WITH THE23-1336\nCOUNTY TO THE STATE FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH BRIDGE\nHOUSING FUNDS TO INCREASE CAPACITY AND IMPLEMENT\nBEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE AT THE BRIDGE SHELTER\nRECOMMENDATION:\nStaff recommends the City Council:\n1. Authorize submission of an application with the Orange County Health Care\nAgency to the California Department of Health Care Services for Behavioral\nHealth Bridge Housing Program funds to increase capacity at the Bridge\nShelter by adding 15 behavior health beds and associated services for\nindividuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Substance Use Disorder\n(SUD), and appropriate all awarded funds to the Housing Authority’s Shelter\nBudget.\n2. Authorize the City Manager or her designee to execute agreements and\namendments to agreements to bring the Bridge Shelter Behavioral Health\nProject to fruition.\nAttachments: 1.
