8.1 PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED FIVE-YEAR WATER AND SEWER RATE\nADJUSTMENT FOR ALL CUSTOMERS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024 THROUGH\nFISCAL YEAR 2027-2028\nComments:\nThe City Council has reviewed the current water and sewer rate structures and\ndetermined that rate increases are necessary to recover sufficient revenues to operate\nand maintain the City's water and sewer systems. (PW)\nRecommendation:\nStaff recommends that the City Council hold a public hearing, and after considering all\noral statements and all written protests made or filed by any interested person, to close\nthe public hearing and approve the following actions:\n1. Receive and File the City of Lynwood 2023 Water and Sewer Rate Study; and\n2. Adopt the attached resolution entitled: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL\nOF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ESTABLISHING WATER AND SEWER RATES AND\nRELATED FEES FOR THE CITY OF LYNWOOD FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023-2024\nTHROUGH FISCAL YEAR 2027-2028 AS ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL ON\nAUGUST 15, 2023."
