12. Resolution of Intention and First Reading of an Ordinance Authorizing an\nAmendment to the City’s CalPERS Contract to Implement Additional\nGovernment Code § 20516 Employee Cost Sharing for Classic Police\nServices Support Employees’ Association Members\nRecommendation -\n1. Adopt the Resolution of Intention to approve a contract amendment with\nthe California Public Employees’ Retirement System ("CalPERS") to\nprovide an additional 1% employee cost sharing, as specified for classic\nmembers of the El Segundo Police Services Support Employees’\nAssociation ("PSSEA").\n2. Authorize the City Manager and City Clerk, to execute CalPERS forms as\nrequired for submission to CalPERS to facilitate CalPERS contract\namendment process.\n7\n3. Introduce first reading by title only, with further reading waived, an\nOrdinance authorizing such contract amendment and schedule a second\nreading of the Ordinance for the regular September 5, 2023 City Council\nmeeting or as soon thereafter may be considered.\n4. Alternatively, discuss and take other action related to this item.
