CONSIDER COUNCILMEMBER TANAKA’S REQUEST, PURSUANT TO CITY\nCOUNCIL POLICY NO. 9, FOR “RECONSIDERATION OF A MATTER UPON\nWHICH THE CITY COUNCIL HAS VOTED”; THEN, IF THE CITY COUNCIL\nTAKES UP THE RECONSIDERED ITEM, RECONSIDER THE CITY COUNCIL\nACTION OF JULY 18, 2023 TO REMOVE THE FOUR CANARY ISLAND PINE\nTREES ON THE 600 BLOCK OF D AVENUE AS PART OF THE LAWN\nBOWLING GREEN TURF REPLACEMENT PROJECT\nRecommendation: 1. Pursuant to City Council Policy No. 9, consider\nCouncilmember Tanaka’s request to reconsider the action taken by the City\nCouncil on July 18, 2023, to “Remove the four Canary Island Pine trees on the 600\nblock of D Avenue and to consider other solutions that abate the fungal problem\nunder the lawn bowling green.”2. If the request for reconsideration is supported by\na majority of the City Council, provide direction on the four Canary Island Pine trees\nand any design modifications for the Lawn Bowling Green Project. If necessary,\ndepending on the direction, provide additional appropriation and authorize the City\nManager to execute a Work Order Amendment with Nasland Engineering.
